Mendham Township

Mendham Township, founded in the mid 18th century and lying 30 miles west of New York City, has a population of just under 6,000. The township is classic New England in style and has a rural and tranquil feel. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside which offers great opportunities for hikes and scenic drives. Residents love the place for its peacefulness, low crime rates and sense of belonging.

The local schools are highly rated and the public facilities, recreation and entertainment opportunities are excellent. While there is no town center as such, shops, restaurants and other amenities can be found in next-door Mendham Borough and the county seat of Morristown can be reached by car in around 15 mins.

Most residents are homeowners, and the township is one of the highest-income small municipalities in the US. Most houses are detached with attractive architecture and gardens. The latest median price of homes in Mendham Township is just under $1M, up some 21% from last year.

Commuters can reach Central Manhattan by car in around an hour. Unfortunately, there are currently no public transportation links to the town. The New Jersey Transit train station at Morristown is 15 mins drive away from which the journey to Penn Station by the Midtown Express takes about an hour.
